Head-To-Toe : The Shape Up Suit
Posted: Sep 16 2014
Spring is here and with it the famous British weather, although sometimes it surprises us when El Niño blows our way. When it does, you need to make sure you look the part. We have a look at the mechanics that make our new collection tick.
Linen suits are perfect for long hot days on your yacht, but we also like a little more substance in our cloth. Our 70% merino wool with 30% mohair, gives a bit more weight to your walk, whilst still being able to breathe. When you need to look your best, this is your fabric. It will keep its shape, won’t crease and make sure you’re not caught off guard.
With the mohair offering classy greys and blues, our cotton suits are more playful when it comes to colour. In natural and bold colours, such as our marine blue and stone, they give a nautical lift to your look.
Texture is often overlooked, only noticed when you’re up close and personal, it can lose its impact from afar. Our jacquards have plenty of texture and an intricate design. You’ll be spotted from afar but far from spotted. It adds an edgy feel to the suit but still keeps a clean-cut appearance.
The fish-mouth lapel is a favourite on our collection, why? It adds that sharp modlike look. It’s named after the shape of a fish’s open mouth funnily enough, who’d have guessed?
This collection has a clean, crisp, 60s Mod flavour with a dash of preppy charm. With different fabrics, colours, textures and details to choose from, we will make sure you stand out from the crowd.
